This opens with a very green, sharp and airy bergamot. The opening is mesmerizing honestly, but it took me some time to appreciate the rest of its journey.
After the opening fades, the ambergris hits you like a truck. Punchy, salty, but still green .. almost savory. It feels like when you're swimming and a wave hits you in the face and sea water gets into your nose.
People who are sensitive to the ambroxan family of aroma chemicals would really hate this.
When it settles to the skin, it's less intrusive but it stays linear after the opening fades.
Performance is excellent, you might even struggle to wash it off.
I actually enjoy it quite a bit, I always found myself longing for less ambergris and maybe a few more supporting notes to make it a bit easier to approach.
